Tawakkul etymologically comes from the word tawakkul which is Arabic and means “surrender and be patient”.

Tawakal in general is a physical and mental act by surrendering all matters, endeavors and efforts to ALLAH or GOD, In simple terms, tawakal is a stage where a person is sincere in submitting all decisions and problems to ALLAH or GOD. So that whatever is accepted. Whether it's achieving what you want and need or vice versa. Of course, it will be accepted gracefully, without feeling disappointed and there is no feeling of anger towards ALLAH or GOD.

Whereas in the KBBI (Big Indonesian Dictionary), tawakal has a definition as surrendering (to God's will), wholeheartedly trusting in God against suffering, trials and whatever happens in this world. If someone has tried then the results will be surrendered to Allah or God. So that it is physically and mentally ready to accept all the results of what has been tried so far.
